Privacy policy

Biohelp S.r.l. (hereinafter, ‘Biohelp’) provides users of the Biohelp web site (hereinafter, the ‘Site’, which can be visited at biohelp.online) with the following information, in compliance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (or General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter ‘G.D.P. R“) and subsequent national adaptation legislation (hereinafter referred to, together with the G.D.P.R., as “Applicable Privacy Legislation”). When consulting the Website, information relating to users is collected, which constitutes personal data under the Applicable Privacy Legislation. This information is provided exclusively for the above website and not for other websites that can be reached through links on it.

Types of data processed

Below is a list of the data processed by Biohelp when users visit the Website. Users assume responsibility for any third-party personal data entered or published on the Website, and guarantee that they have the right to communicate or disseminate this data, thus releasing Biohelp from any liability to the aforementioned third parties. Personal data acquired automatically when visiting the Website
  • Browsing data. Biohelp automatically collects data on the device (PC, tablet, mobile phone or other mobile device) and connection used by the user, including, for example, IP address, date and time of access, hardware and software information, information on events concerning the device, unique identifiers, crash data. 
  • Data on use of the Site. Biohelp collects information on how the user has used the Site, including, for example, the pages of the Site or other displayed content and links to other sites and applications that the user has clicked on.

If the user, to request information, explicitly and voluntarily sends an e-mail to Biohelp’s addresses indicated on the Site, or uses the form available under the heading ‘Want to expand your business in the international market?’ in the ‘Contact us’ section, Biohelp acquires the e-mail address and any personal data of the user (and/or third parties) included in the text of the electronic communication, as well as – for the form ‘Want to expand your business in the international market?’ – the user’s (and/or third party’s) name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number and any personal data included in the text of the message.

Purpose of processing

To help the Site function; to provide the user with the services that Biohelp provides through the Site; to protect the user’s vital interests; to comply with current legislation or to pursue other needs in the public interest User data is processed:
  • to operate, measure, improve and maintain the security of the Website and the services provided through it; 
  • to operate, measure, improve and maintain the security of the Website and the services provided through it.
Pursue Biohelp’s legitimate interests in such a way that these interests do not prevail over the user’s fundamental rights and freedoms In fact, user data is processed:
  • to identify and resolve any problems encountered by the user when using the Website (for example, blocked or non-functioning pages). 
These processing operations protect Biohelp’s interest in keeping the Website working and efficient. Furthermore, they do not infringe the user’s fundamental rights and freedoms, in that they are foreseeable and commonplace processing operations for any website. In addition, these processing operations are also to the user’s advantage, as they allow the Website to keep functioning.

Treatment method

The user’s personal data is processed using computerised or telematic tools exclusively for the purposes for which it was collected (see above) and stored for a specific period according to the criteria indicated in this privacy policy (see below). Personal data may be accessed and processed by Biohelp personnel, who have been duly instructed on the precautions to be taken as required by the Applicable Privacy Law.

Treatment duration

The specific retention times for the user’s personal data are documented in Biohelp’s processing activity register (implemented in accordance with Article 30 of the GDPR). The user’s personal data is stored (according to the criteria referred to in recital 39 and art. 5, paragraph 1, letter e) of the GDPR) for a period necessary to ensure that the Site functions, and that Biohelp provides users with the services provided through the Site. In any case, this period cannot exceed 10 years from collection. The user’s personal data may be stored for longer periods than those just seen only if it is necessary for Biohelp to fulfil its legal obligations or to protect a right in court. Upon expiry of these storage terms, the user’s data is deleted or permanently anonymised. 

Data communication

Biohelp may communicate the personal data processed only to the subjects and for the purposes indicated below. Fight against illegal acts and security breaches 
  • Biohelp may communicate users’ personal data to third parties involved in preventing, detecting and mitigating potentially illegal acts and security breaches.
Law enforcement, legal proceedings and legally authorised methods
  • Biohelp may communicate users’ personal data to Judicial Authorities, Public Authorities or authorised third parties, in cases where the law provides for it. As well as, in general, in cases where it is necessary to comply with legal obligations or verified requests relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity, or to respond to claims by others regarding the rights, property or safety of Biohelp, its employees or users.

Rights of the interested parties

In the cases and with the limitations set forth in articles 15-22 of the GDPR, the user has the right – at any time, free of charge and without any particular obligations or formalities – to:
  • obtain confirmation that Biohelp is processing your personal data;
  • access your personal data, and know its origin, the purposes and ends of the processing, the period of retention and information regarding third parties to whom the personal data is communicated;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, in the event that this constitutes the basis of the processing;
  • update or rectify your personal data collected by Biohelp, so that it is always exact and accurate;
  • exercise the so-called right to be forgotten, or rather ensure that your personal data collected by Biohelp is deleted from Biohelp’s databases and/or archives, including backup archives;
  • limit the processing of your personal data by Biohelp;
  • object to the processing of personal data processed to pursue needs in the public interest or legitimate interests of Biohelp;
  • be informed, in a timely manner, of any corrections, cancellations or limitations of the processing ordered by Biohelp, as well as any revocations of such measures and the reasons behind the revocations.
The user can exercise these rights by sending an informal written request to Biohelp via email to the address info@biohelp.online Once Biohelp has received the above email, it will fulfil the request within one month. This period may be extended by two months, subject to notification of the user, depending on the complexity and number of requests. Biohelp reminds the user that, if they are not satisfied with the response to their requests, they may contact and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (http://www.garanteprivacy.it/) in the manner provided for by the Applicable Privacy Law.

Changes to the privacy policy

Biohelp reserves the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, and will publish any changes on this page of the website. We therefore ask users to consult this page often, referring to the date of the last modification indicated at the bottom. Unless otherwise specified, in the event of modification, the previous privacy policy will continue to apply to personal data collected until that moment.  Last update: April 2025
